Join us on Monday May 27th at 7:00pm of a screening of “Return of the Keewatin” in Rotary Hall.
“Return of the Keewatin” is a detailed documentary of the journey, trials and challenges from the purchase of the SS Keewatin to its return to Port McNicoll this past June 23rd, 2012. The movie spans the travel of the SS Keewatin from Douglas, Michigan back to Port McNicoll, the dredging of the harbour in Douglas inclusive of all the intricate maneuvers involved in getting the ship out of the harbour, to being in severe storms during the journey to the festive arrival in Port McNicoll. It is an absolute stunning account of history in the making.
