Quest Art & Simcoe Watershed Project present Runoff

Runoff is a creative celebration of the water cycle as it relates to the intersection of art and science. Join us for a free opening reception will take place on Friday, May 10 from 6pm to 9pm.
Quest Art also presents High on Art: Art on High, which will kick off on May 10 in the Upper Gallery at the Midland Cultural Centre. There will be about 25 works on display from St. Theresa’s Catholic High School Grade 12 students and Midland Secondary School grades nine to 12 students.
High on Art: Art on High’s free opening reception will take place on Thursday, May 16 from 7pm to 9pm. at the Midland Cultural Centre.

“Return of the Keewatin” Documentary Screening

Join us on Monday May 27th at 7:00pm of a screening of “Return of the Keewatin” in Rotary Hall. “Return of the Keewatin” is a detailed documentary of the journey, trials and challenges from the purchase of the SS Keewatin to its return to Port McNicoll this past June 23rd, 2012. The movie spans the travel of the SS Keewatin from Douglas, Michigan back to Port McNicoll, the dredging of the harbour in Douglas inclusive of all the intricate maneuvers involved in getting the ship out of the harbour, to being in severe storms during the journey to the festive arrival in Port McNicoll. It is an absolute stunning account of history in the making.

During the performance, you'll learn all about Patsy's amazing story, in addition to hearing all the great hits including "Walking After Midnight" "I Fall To Pieces" "Sweet Dreams of You" and of course, her signature song "Crazy". You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll stomp your feet and clap along...this is truly an amazing theatre experience as performed by one of Canada's all-time great female country vocalists, the one-and-only Marie Bottrell!
