Midlandcommunity.ca along with local Midland businesses invites you to attend two ‘Meet the Candidates’ events being held on Monday October 1st, at the 'Rec Centre' (North Simcoe Sports and Recreation Center). The first event is for candidates running to represent Wards 1, 2 and 3 and begins at 5:15 pm through to 7:45 pm. The second event will begin promptly at 8:00 pm through to 9:30 pm and is for candidates aspiring to be Mayor and Deputy Mayor who are elected by voters in all wards.
We believe two separate events will provide a more engaging evening and allow each candidate more ‘air time’ to address the things that matter most to the people of Midland. The separate event for candidates for Mayor and Deputy Mayor also recognizes these positions carry additional responsibilities including governing the County of Simcoe.
In an effort to make the best use of limited time we will not be fielding questions from the floor. Questions from the public can be submitted in advance to talktous@midlandcommunity.ca .
