Proposed Amendments to Sign By-law 2011-79

Amphibious Floating Water Sign (“Water Billboard”)

Public Consultation Notice

The Town of Midland has received an application for an amendment to Sign By-law 2011-79 to provide for a new type of sign being an “Amphibious Floating Water Sign” (“Water Billboard”).

A Public Meeting to consider the application will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Town Hall, or as soon thereafter as the matter can be dealt with.

The application for an amendment to Sign By-law 2011-79 would permit a new type of sign (Amphibious Floating Water Sign) and includes a definition and regulations.

Details of the application and the requested amendments to Sign By-law 2011-79 are available at the Municipal Office or on the Town’s website at:

Comments from Transport Canada, the Department of Fisheries and Oceans and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry have been requested.
