PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO SIGN BY-LAW 2011-79 AMPHIBIOUS FLOATING WATER SIGN (“WATER BILLBOARD”)
Concerned Midland residents including several members of MidlandCommunity.ca have written to us expressing their opposition with regards to the proposed amendments to the following by-law that would allow 'water billboards' on Midland waters (as seen in side photo).
We encourage all residents of Midland to get involved and share your view.

The Town of Midland has received an application for an amendment to Sign By-law 2011-79 to provide for a new type of sign being an “Amphibious Floating Water Sign” (“Water Billboard”).
A Public Meeting to consider the application will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Town Hall, or as soon thereafter as the matter can be dealt with.
The application for an amendment to Sign By-law 2011-79 would permit a new type of sign (Amphibious Floating Water Sign) and includes a definition and regulations.
Details of the application and the requested amendments to Sign By-law 2011-79 are available at the Municipal Office or on the Town’s website at: www.midland.ca.
Comments from Transport Canada, the Department of Fisheries and Oceans and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry have been requested.
