Welcome back ladies,

I would like to start off by introducing your new volunteer executive committee for 2011-2012.  Everyone has been working hard over the summer to bring you a great season of speakers, information, networking and fun.

I will bet if you ask other members how they get new business, odds are they will say referrals are number one.  These referrals will come from current clients, friends, business relationships and networking.  The most popular reasons for referring a business are:  Skill in their area of work, Professional, Dependable, Trustworthy, Honest, and I like them!!  So this year, all of us need to focus on getting referrals for our own businesses, and referring clients to other MDBWA member businesses.

I read an article recently, and it suggesting the best way to get referrals is to:

-Ask happy clients for referrals
-Write articles or blogs
-Arrange speaker engagements (share your expertise)
-Volunteer or do pro bono work

Kick off the 2011-2012 MDBWA membership year with a bang! Join us at the Olympia Event Centre in Penetanguishene for an evening of business networking, delicious food, and featured keynote speakers!

- Networking begins at 5:30pm
- Dinner served at 6:30pm

Also please note that  membership year runs Sept 1 2011-Aug 31 2012 and members need to renew their membership asap (prior to the Sept meeting) by going to, signing into their member profiles, clicking the EDIT PROFILE button from the top header, and clicking the RENEW MEMBERSHIP button. This allows members to pay online or to renew and be invoiced – payment to be brought to the Sept dinner meeting or via Paypal on the MDBWA website.
