About Jan...
I wasn't living life; I was just going through the motions, rarely
experiencing laughter, love or joy. At age 45, my body finally shut down
from exhaustion and I experienced an awakening. The lesson I have
learned and use on a daily basis have completely changed my life. I
found freedom, and a life full of love, peace and joy. I look 10 years
younger, I have lost 30 pounds, and I feel great!
Jan
Amos is a published author; she has the amazing ability to speak to the
reader within her books. Her books are inspirational and are full of
easy to follow life transforming concepts. Jan's first book, A Woman's Passage to Freedom is in the good hands of her agent and is on it's path to a large Publishing Company. Jan's
true passion is to assist the youth and the women within our
community. Her goal is to implement a youth program and to open a
retreat for women in Simcoe County. Jan is also a Facilitator for the FACE Progam, a Restorative Justice Program located in Midland. To learn more, please visit Jan's website at: www.janamos.ca |

APRIL FUNDRAISER A BIG SUCCESS!!!
The
Executive Committee wanted to take a moment to thank all of you ladies
for your generosity in helping the MDBWA reach an amazing fundraiser
goal during our Garden Auction last month. As
you all know, prior to last month's fundraiser, we decided to donate
proceeds of our event to help out a local friend in need, Carl
Desjardins. Carl is a 26 year old member of the community who has
been suffering with chronic pain and nausea due to intestinal adhesions since 2008. This young fellow has
been struggling to manage these symptoms due to lack of funds
needed to get to Germany to see a special surgeon to treat this
debilitating disorder. The ladies in the MDBWA decided to see what we could do at our April event to help
Carl out. Thanks to all of YOUR help - your kindness, and your generosity - we raised an amazing $811
for Carl to get the surgery he needs. We have yet to tell Carl the
actual monetary goal we reached; instead, we have asked him to visit us at our
May dinner event so we may present him with our fundraising efforts and
wish him well. Carl is very appreciative of our support and for helping
him get closer to his goal - thank you again, ladies! Feel free to check out this link for more information on Carl's local fundraising efforts: http://www.simcoe.com/community/health/article/919400--constant-pain-a-fact-of-life
