The Downtown Midland Business Improvement Area Discover Downtown Snapshot Contest (the “Contest”) begins on January 15th, 2023 at 12:00:00 p.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) and ends on January 26th at 12:00:00 p.m. ET (the “Contest Period”).

By entering a Downtown Midland BIA Contest, you agree to be bound by the Generic Contest Rules.

PRIZE

$50 Downtown Dollars, free to use at any participating Downtown Midland BIA store. Please see downtownmidland.ca/downtowndollars for a full list of participating businesses.

Prizes are pulled every week, from January 15th to January 26th, announced on the Friday of the week. That is:

SUBMISSIONS

Take a picture (i.e. selfie or photo) in front of any of the Downtown Midland BIA businesses within the contest dates. Post on Facebook or Instagram or email the picture to events@downtownmidland.ca with your name, tag the Downtown Midland BIA profile, use the hashtags #DiscoverDTMidland and #sweepstakes, and like our Facebook page or follow us on Instagram for a valid entry. Entries are limited to one per individual.

VERIFICATION

The discovery of any use of robotic, automatic, macro, programmed, third party or like methods to participate in the Downtown Midland BIAContest will void your attempted participation effected by such methods and you will be disqualified in Downtown Midland BIA’s sole and absolute discretion.

ELIGIBLE BI-WEEKLY PRIZE WINNER CONFIRMATION PROCESS

The prize must be picked up within 30 days or it shall be forfeited and Downtown Midland BIA has the right, at its sole discretion, to select another winner. To be declared a winner, the selected contestant must first correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question. Potential winners may be required to provide their full name and contact information and to furnish proof of identification.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

By submitting your entry, you grant the Downtown Midland BIA the licence to publish your name and photo on all digital platforms and by any other means of communication controlled or authorized by the Downtown Midland BIA.
Acceptance of the prize will be deemed to release the Contest Parties from all liability for any damage or loss arising from participation in the contest or from the awarding, acceptance or use of the prize.
Prizes shall be accepted as is and may not be exchanged or refunded for an amount of money, sold or transferred. No substitutions will be allowed.
Any unused portion of a prize will be forfeited.
If the prize cannot be awarded as described, the Downtown Midland BIA reserves the right to substitute a prize or prize component with another of comparable value, as determined in its sole discretion.
Refusal to accept the prize releases the Contest Parties from any obligation toward the winner.

Downtown Midland BIA reserves the right in its sole discretion to modify these Official Rules at any time without notice.
