Unfortunately, the Town of Midland is cancelling this year's festival in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was not an easy decision, but the safety and health of the community, visitors, vendors and volunteers is their main priority.
While the sweetest day of the year won't take place in the Town of Midland in June, you can find a list of their vendors and Downtown Midland merchants on their website for online shopping: www.buttertartfestival.ca
The Town of Midland also has a few initiatives planned including donating the proceeds from a special t-shirt to the Georgian Bay General Hospital Foundation - GBGHF, a festival-themed colouring page and a contest for children and are asking their sponsors to redirect their support to local charities.
The Town of Midland will miss seeing you all this year and ask that you stay home, practice physical distancing and wash your hands so they can welcome you at the next festival in 2021 on June 12, 2021!
