Hello Business Owners,

We have the perfect incentive for customers to shop at your business this Spring!

The BIA is looking to continue it’s Shop Local Giveaway this Spring (April 1^st to May 31st) in correlation with the Big Dig happening downtown and we’re looking for businesses to participate in the BIA area. In order to participate each business will need to do a $50 buy in. We’d like to get as many businesses as possible to do a massive giveaway. Generally customers have spent $350,000 to $500,000 in total at the participating businesses in our previous giveaways (varies depending on the number of businesses, time of year, etc.) With our giveaway so far we have 2 sponsors (Snapd Midland/Penetang & ShopMidland.com are sponsoring providing advertising assistance). And we have 7 businesses participating so far.

All proceeds will go directly to the giveaway prizes and towards advertising (No cash will be kept for the BIA). We will be doing 1-2 giveaways based on the number of participating businesses (ex. 20 businesses = $1,000 >> $500 each for 2 winners)

In order for people to enter they can shop at any participating business and will be able to fill out a ballot after each $10 minimum purchase spent in each participating store (ONLY 1 BALLOT NEEDS TO BE FILLED OUT FOR EACH PURCHASE). The giveaway will run from April 1^st to May 31^st. The winners will receive Downtown Dollars that can only be spent at participating stores.

This Shop Local Giveaway has proven to draw people down to participating stores and keep customers happy, making them want to come back and shop again for being rewarded.
