The Library Board boasts an excellent collection of 48,085 items including books, magazines, local newspapers, adult and juvenile instructional and entertainment videos, adult and juvenile books on tape, CD ROMs, Music CDs and an extensive Local History Collection with a genealogical emphasis. Of special note the collection includes an adult and juvenile French collection of 6,615 items. The quality of this collection is due to the funding assistance of La Sève, Le Club Richelieu, the Friends of the Penetang Library and the Library Board and is the largest French collection in Simcoe County.
